All School District of Newberry County schools and offices will be closed on March 18, 2021 due to the threat of severe weather. All school activities, including adult education classes and athletics, are canceled for Thursday, March 18. This will be an elearning day for all students. Teachers will provide asynchronous (not live) virtual assignments to all students, including Newberry ONE students, for this day. Assignments will be posted along with the completion due date. The completion of the assignments will be used to determine student attendance for March 18.

The survey can be found at https://bit.ly/3jHOw2t Please complete one survey per child by March 15.  🐊Yearbook Sales have started. Your child should have brought an order form home on last Monday. The yearbook costs $20. Orders may be made by sending money in the order form or by ordering online at www.strawbridge.net using the code FMYB102072. We will be accepting orders until Friday, March 19th.    🐊Virtual parents, it’s not too late to submit a picture of your child by to the link: www.plicbooks.com/go/ZrAsj so they can be in our yearbook. Friday, March 5th is our final day in Read Across America Week and we are ending it with one of our favorite days- Pajama Day! Tomorrow's theme is "Cozy Up With a Good Book" so wear your favorite pjs to school. Remember, they must follow the dress code and slippers/bedroom shoes aren't allowed.

If you or someone you know has a child who will turn 4 or 5 years old before September 1st, please register them! Please go to www.plicbooks.com/go/ZrAsj and follow the directions to upload your child's picture. Please be sure the pose used looks very similar to normal school pictures.   🐊Parents, PLEASE DO NOT send sick students to school. If they complain of headache, sore throat, fever, or any other Covid-19 symptoms, they need to stay home. If you send them to school, they complain of symptoms, you will have to pick them up and they’ll not be able to return until they have a negative Covid-19 test or the doctors sends a note indicating that it is something else beside Covid-19. We’re trying to keep everyone safe.   🐊Parents, please make sure that any change in transportation is done in writing—a note written in their agenda is fine or a piece of notebook paper. We cannot change transportation over the phone. This is to keep our kids safe and to ensure only those who are supposed to pick them up, have them.   🐊Please be sure that your child comes to school daily with a clean mask. Masks should be washed and cleaned like all other laundry items.   🐊Parents, please be sure your child’s device is charged each day before they come to school.
